  1. they shake when they are scared or excited and when they get bigger the dont shake as much

  2. Its natural. Chihuahuas shake because they are cold(obviously). But mostly because they are excited, stressed or sad. Emotional.

  3. 1 - Chihuahuas shake when they are in an unknown situation out of nervousness, being scared, near new people.  My Chihuahua will usually shake when there are a lot of people around he doesn't know, when he is about to get his teeth brushed, when he goes to the vet. This is usually solved by petting (giving treats) and soothing words.  Once the Chihuahua becomes comfortable with its surroundings, the shaking dissipates.

2 - Chihuahuas also shake when they are cold.  This is usually later in the summer or fall when temperatures get cooler.  This is solved by giving your Chihuahua a sweater/jacket and booties to keep it warm.  Then bringing them in as soon as they are done 'going.'

  4. there little dogs.so they can get scared cold

    or excited very easily.

  5. Most dogs are nervous by nature! Nervousness can make the dog shiver or appear to shake, as if it's cold. However, the Chihuahua, is a very small dog, making it even more nervous than most, plus because of it's small size, it does get cold much faster. Just imagine yourself being a small Chihuahua, and everyone and everything around you is so huge. I'd be nervous too! That explains why Chihuahua's love to bury themselves under blankets. They also shake, when they are in pain, or excited!

  6. They are always shaking, because the majority of chihuaha owners treat them like handbags.
