Do they think that if they keep quiet about them, we wont find out and get suckered in like some kind of cosmic pyramid scheme?

  1. We don't, we just read it all in context.

  2. It is only your lack of understand and intellect which see's them as 'glossed over.'

  3. Just like a used car salesman, they do not want to highlight the flaws in the car before you buy it.

  4. There isn't a single verse of the Bible that I'm ashamed of.  The Bible is the Word of God and is 100% true.

  5. Funny some Christian asked to name the bad bits.

Here you have what you asked for, just a few of them

The bible is full of atrocities.

    Ezekiel 5: 10

"Therefore in your midst fathers will EAT  their children, and children will eat their fathers. I will inflict punishment on you and will scatter all your survivors to the winds."

    Leviticus 26: 29

"You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters."

    Numbers 13:33

"Your children will be shepherds here for forty years, suffering for your unfaithfulness, until the last of your bodies lies in the desert.

"If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, 19 his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. 20 They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard." 21 Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death."

    Deuteronomy 5:9

"You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me"

When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

  6. You're assuming, just like your avatar.  How do you know Christians do that when you don't go to Church nor attend bible reading sessions?

    Better return your borrowed plumage.

  7. Because they Want to Believe?  "Religion Ala Carte".

  8. I don't personally know any Christian that does that. The bad parts were included for a reason.

  9. Chinese buffet.

  10. helps them get by, convert other people? i dont know exactly.

  11. If they mentioned the bad bits, there would be far fewer people claiming to be Christians...

Kind of like n***s who only discussed the German economy.

  12. RA-MAN,

Which Bits do you believe as "BAD"?  I find nothing BAD in the New Testament that I am ashamed to discuss and the Old Testament is for those who lived prior to the Death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of CHRIST.  Have a great week.

    Thanks,
