  1. I very much doubt that when she says or thinks this..it is in hatred.

I dont see her hating anyone really. She seems like a good person. But like many christians she will follow and believe what the bible and church says and never really question why God would punish someone for loving someone of the same s*x,  and yet someone who is a murderer  can go to heaven as long as they ask for forgiveness,. But g*y ppl cannot even if they do..because it is an abomination?

the bible has many contradictions in it and most christians do not think to question it for fear of going to h**l.

and it also says that when god made adam and eve that they should go forth and multiply...it is true...g*y couples really cannot do that..unless they have help...

but it is also true that you really cannot help who you are attracted too..and cannot help who you fall in love with.

I would like to think PSW realizes this.

I too am a christian..but i do support g*y rights. I also am one that questions the bible.

I do not however question Jesus Christ...WWJD if faced with a g*y person?

I would like to think..He would not shun that person.

  2. *slaps Kit on ****

    Good answer.

  3. Let's not take the bible out of context with what God commanded, like slaughtering first born children. The point is that God called homosexuality an "abomination". It's against what Christians believe. It's not what God intended--how would the world repopulate if same-s*x relationships were the majority? It's not anyone's job to judge or criticize. Love people, that's what we're commanded to do above all.

  4. Christianity is built on dogma and prejudice.

  5. Because people like her think their way is the only way.

  6. Somewhere between 5 and 10% of animals are g*y, including humans. If God didn't like it he wouldn't have made nature this way.

  7. 1. The Bible says it plain as day.  This isn't one of those things that's vague.

    2. It's unnatural.

I don't agree with how a lot of Christians treat g**s, but the fact is it's fobidden.

If you want to sleep with a member of your s*x, go ahead.  I'll tell you what the Bible says and you decide what to do with it.  I can't-and won't- do any more.  It's between you and God at that point.

  8. Kay, obviously the logic in this thread is overwhelming.  So I'll type it slow and make it simple.  The bible forbids it moron.

Edit: To Bert, source your supposed story of God to Abraham cause I've never heard of that.  Even then that was the old law hence it was in the old testament.  It has, even in the bible, been overruled by what is Jesus' new law.

  9. I'm not a christian but I think anyone who's had any experience with the bible can figure it out...

In the beginning of the bible it is commanded by G*d to go forth and multiply.

g*y men are not going to be doing any multiplying any time soon so their s*x is basically fruitless outside of their individual enjoyment.

  10. I don't understand it either.  I lost my faith many years ago for reasons just like that.  The religion seems very judgmental, critical and cruel when it comes to issues like homosexuality, non-believers, etc.

I asked a question similar to this in the R&S section awhile back, and nobody actually ever gave me a straight answer.  They more or less beraded me for asking such a thing, and then proceeded to tell me I needed to be saved.  It's one thing to have your own beliefs - that's fine - I just don't like when it's forced upon me, or I am looked down on because I don't share that same belief, and really, all I wanted was an answer.

I guess in the end, you just can't worry about what others think.  Not everybody will like what you say, do or feel, but if your following your heart and your happy, that is all that matters.

  11. Because the Bible is quite specific in its condemnation of homosexual relations between men.  If you take the Bible seriously it is somewhat difficult to avoid this fact.  You can argue that the people who specifically condemend homosexuality may not have had a direct mandate from God.  You can argue that Jesus never specifically condemned homosexuality (I am not sure, but I think I am right in saying this), but you can't say that the condemnation isn't there, because it is. If you believe that Paul and the prophets were speaking for God, then there it is.

  12. Why do you give a hot d**n about what someone that you will NEVER meet thinks about your sexuality?

Proud does not = God. God = God. You do not have to prove yourself to anyone here, not even to those who oppose your beliefs.

If you are going to be a homosexual, go for it, good for you, I respect that. The nicest, most respected homosexual people I've ever met have been confident in their sexual choices, so confident that they didn't care what people thought of them. They didn't cry over the internet and call people out when they received negative feedback. You want equality? You want to be respected? Give others respect.

It's time for a time out with the Proud bashing.
