everyone'sentitledd to their opinion, but when god is brought in to a debate that involves real problems and real people. why should something that is unproven, invisible and based on anecdotal, hearsay be allowed to contribute.

  1. It shouldn't.

  2. I know exactly what you mean but that is the thing some of these people have nothing in life but hope. That is what they live for it is more of a feeling then a knowing. You just have to feel for it once you do you will know what it means. How many people have presented this argument in past years. That is why I say to h**l with it because it is honestly super hard to explain. To Christians everywhere he is more then all of us, to those who do not believe in Him scoff at that but just think of it this way, you have a love for a celebrity or a super hero just anything that you might be obsessed with and some one comes and says but they are just a person not anything bigger just any remark that can upset you. Right now you might not see what I mean but when it happens to you you'll see what they mean. For Christians every where they go through the struggle every day

  3. I believe that it was Nietzche who said that if God didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent him.

The Christians believe what they are reading or preached. The non-Christian finds a way to make this appear as a weakness and reduce his credibility. It would be easier for me to believe that God did not exist, if I were skeptical about every single thing. There comes a point when people determine that they have found their answer. Not, every person is a skeptic. Few of us look alike. When we Christians are told that everyone is special and unique, it is based on these sorts of concepts. Otherwise, we open a door to great deception and surrender free thought for the sake of "deeper truth".

This is how social issues abound in the very first place.

  4. it shouldnt

  5. How many schools, colleges, hospitals, clinics, libraries, soup kitchens, thrift shops, elderly homes, meals on wheels programs, literacy programs and such are named after Christ? Do we nothing for the social good? We deal with the real problems of real people every day. Where is the Atheist Memorial Hospital, or the Atheist Orphanage?

  6. How can Christians preach sanctity of life when they were responsible for witch-hunts?

  7. I feel so bad for you. Just because you haven't seen proof doesn't mean there isn't any.

  8. But if that were the case, then why would we ever bother to communicate in the first place if not to make an exchange of ideas?

They just happen to believe in their ideas, that's all.

Which is more than can be said for people trying to influence others without consideration as to the consequences.

  9. For those who accept God, He is the authority to Whom we must answer for our actions.  The atheist has no one to answer to except himself/herself.  The Christian seeks to present his or her case honestly before God.  Did I do the right  thing?  The atheist just wants to get some happy feeling.

  10. Ignoring all the ranting that you did after you asked the question, the answer to your question is simple.

You have as much right to influence in real social issues as real people do.

  11. Stalin and Hitler would be proud, they had the same philosophy, thank God they where destroyed by Christian men and woman, for it is to them you owe your freedom.
