Why do cigars have that paper ring with the logo around them?

  2. Its just a band to let you know either the brand or manufacturer.

  3. because they are not allowed to print anything on the tabacco.

  4. Gustav Bock is credited with first putting on cigar bands - the reason usually given is so that those who wore white gloves would not get them stained.

    This started around 1835 and by the 1850's was a pretty common practice.

    The Bock y Ca cigars are still being manufactured today.
