Why do clouds appear to move at one point but then don't look like they're moving the next?

  1. I would guess its because the trade winds fluctuate in strength


  2. It's a matter of having a point of reference.

    If you've got nothing to 'anchor' them to, it's harder

    to see them move.

    'Betcha' you see them move when they pass a tree

    or chimney or such, and seem to stop otherwise.

  3. cuz they go soo slow. if you watch them they look like they arent moving but they really are.
