  1. Because Collingwood has the closest margin then any other team i would imagine

  2. Smart management and LOYAL FANS!!!!!

    Go Kangas!!!!

  3. i hate collingwood, question should be why are they so over rated, its a joke. one flag in 50 years.

  4. Because none of their supporters have a job & are not inconvenienced by having to go to their places of work on football days - like other teams supporters have to do.

The last time I passed by a Centrelink office I thought it was a Collingwood FC social gathering as all the people in the dole queue had black & white striped beanies on!

  5. I'd say there are 2 reasons.  The huge number of Collingwood supporters and the huge number of Collingwood haters.

  6. Collingwood has a huge supporter base and good membership. That's the most obvious answer, however, if your teams playing collingwood, there's not much better in the AFL that watching your own team beat them.

  7. more collingwood fans on centrelink and thats where thay have there meetings.lol

  8. Love to hate them

    Hate to love them

    Got to have them

    Collingwood are good for football.

They are the team that everyone wants to see lose, barring their own supporters of course, and the punters line up to see it happen( hopefully)

  9. There is a long tradition to why Collingwood is what they are today .   in the 1920's they won 4 successive flags, in the 1950's, Melbourne won 3 on end and played Collingwood in the '58 grand final and were expected to equal the Magpies long standing record .     Melbourne were by far the more talented, but a Collingwood player named Barry Harrison followed Melbourne Captain Ron Barassi for the entire game,  unheard of in those days, but now known as tagging.    Collingwood recorded an unlikely win saving their record , they won many new admirers across the Country and just as many who despised them for their tactic's in stopping the Demons more talented star's, and with that, the mystique of Collingwood was born.   When Ron Barassi joined Carlton in  '65 the Rivalry  between Collingwood, Carlton began in earnest and continues today .      After '58 Collingwood failed to win several grand finals until 1990 and their former captain Lou Richards invented the name Colliwobbles and the Magpies became the laughing stock in all corners of the country , with opposition supporters and media joking whenever the Magpies were defeated in a close game, and as legend has it now , Collingwood's fame from that name, Colliwobbles, leaves them as the Country's most famous club.   Colliwobbles while considered derogatory and funny has eventually proved to be a clever marketing tool that no other  AFL club is ever likely to to equal .

  10. Large number of members, fans and supporters.

They always draw big crowds regardless of who they play mainly due to their popularity and the excitement of game they produce.

And true, the haters probably go along hoping to see them lose!
