  1. to keep you buying their new improved stuff.

  2. I worked for a British company that was OK in that area until it was bought out by an American company.

After that it was never the same.  We would constantly be informed of changes in procedures and have lengthy meetings to find new ways of making things better!!!

We were bought because we had been successful but I always felt that the new American owners had to prove their ways to be better.  Calling it innovative etc, etc.

It never really worked, was  time wasting and totally frustrating.

    I blame the American way,!!!!!!

    EDIT.

As Busy Bee says.  'If it's not broken.  Why fix it'?

  3. It's a marketing technique to raise price, and agree totally about give me old version back majority of times.

  4. I agree.  Yahoo have improved nothing with their recent updates.

  5. Sure.

    Why not?

With the old one at it's peak.

Have to search or improve it with new one.

So concentrate on the new one.

With the old one reversing back and lost with time.

Just like living human kind too.

    Concentrate on the young one.

With the old ones diminishing in time too.

While the young ones were mass produced and rolled off from faulty production lines.

    End of the day.

    It's getting bad to worse.

Without being aware of it being expose in time.

    What do you think?

  6. Its something called progress. Nothing is for ever.

  7. Agreed. And are they admitting their first attempt was S**t?

  8. Sometimes it makes things easier to use but other times you wonder what they were thinking, like with the new facebook for instance, the redesign really wasnt needed.

  9. Because its a con trick, they like you to feel that you are getting something for the overcharging, and mismanagement.

  10. "New and Improved" may mean anything, even a new container, it's a marketing concept.

  11. tru yoohoo tel me to corect my speling

eh canny sea anything wrang wi it

    tis a load o boloks

  12. Exactly. That says to me they can't get it right.

  13. I agree "new and improved" isn't always as good as the original.  But, I understand why companies do it.  If companies didn't try to improve upon there products they'd be seen as complacent and not trying to better there product.  So, in a way they have to do it..to make more money.  Plus, it's a great marketing technique.

  14. That's how they get money out of your/our pockets.

  15. i agree,why fix something that isn't broken

  16. If your talking about products then I agree, they often taste completely different or no longer suit your skin because of new ingredients etc........

  17. My heart is still broken from the abomination that is a Wagon Wheel. Nothing like they used to be...

It's a sure thing if anything says 'New and Improved' it actually means 'worse but cheaper to make'  :-(

  18. How can something be new and also improved.  It doesnt make logical sense.

I think they do this just so we buy their product.  And also it would be odd to say 'buy persil washing powder we just released version 1.12'

  19. Always wanting to show that they done something really is the reason for most improvements. The worst do is that movie Cliff hanger. how many changes of cover sleave have they done for that movie over the years. I nearly keep buying it over and over. Believe me I don't thing it is even worth buying the once but the four times. You know they are making me look a right plonker. They have on some occasions not even had the words cliff hanger on the cover. I suppose do we are on about our lovely pencil here looks ok but looks can be desceptive. for anything like that on a web site there has to be something done and is it worth the hassle it is bound to give them really in the future.
