Hi there

i understand that Companies house should want to know which other companies you are director/secretary of when registering a new limited company - but what do they do with this information?

The reason i ask is that in my full time job im the registered secretary of the business. However i would like to set up a LTD company mainly for my girlfriend to start off from home, however i want to be one of the directors.

I just wondered what Companies House do with the info as i dont want them unduly contacting my full time company etc??,

  1. Companies house will not contact you're present company.

The information is used by people who may have a vested interest in one company (i.e. auditors/lenders).

When doing work on the company it is important for them to know if the company has any links relationships with other companies.

i.e. a director may also be a director of a customer / creditor - so the companies may influence how they act with each other - or they may have a relationship.

Not disclosing this infor may (not sure about that) be illegal
