We are a US company exporting to China. If a problem occurs, such as shipping fewer than expected goods or a product is damaged, our customers in China requests a corrected invoice. It is our standard practice to issue a credit that offsets part of the invoice amount. We expect the customer to pay the difference between the invoice amount and the credit. Issuing a corrected invoice is not common in the US and the process of creatin one is more time-consuming for us. Can you explain why Chinese companies do not accept credits?
