  1. The truth is pharmaceutical and most teaching hospitals and universities have facilities designed as research facilities. One they receive grants from the government funding their research. Two medical researchers as a field would not exist without animal testing. Three it is standard practice in most countries with the above qualifications. Four mice, rabbits, snakes and some other animals are used regularly, sorry but its true and its not going to stop. Billions are made and countless jobs and salary's are at stake as well as the medical necessities of mankind. Many people in architectural, engineering, union trades, construction, chemical engineering, not to mention medical and legal. Personally I think it would be better to set limits on these testing but that is dependent upon government oversite.

  2. To find out whether the products are safe to use. It is better to test a product on a few rats to see if there is any adverse reaction than to sell an untested product and then find out that it is harmful to the people using it.

  3. What's the alternative?

  4. Because whether it is suitable for human beings or not. Firstly they test on animals.

  5. Would you rather them test them on people??

  6. it's not the best thing to do but lots of companies do it because they would rather have reactions or defects of the product happen on animals instead of humans because humans can do something about it unlike animals and they think that it would be worse if something were to happen to a human if there was something wrong with the product than it would to an animal...it's sad but true
