Im not just talking about elderly people but it seems like EVERYONE and their momma feels the need to come up and touch my children. expecially my 3 month old. she's unusually small because she was a preemie but people KNOW how easy it is for babies to get sick so why do they feel the need to put their grubby little paws all over my kids

  1. I would tell them not to touch them or take out the hand sanitizer to put on their hands!

  2. Get a sling.. bringing your baby up out of the stroller, and into your personal space will protect her somewhat from other people touching her.  People are more likely to not invade an adults space.

Your baby will benefit from less handling, and from being able to hear your heart, and regulate her temp with your body temp.

    hope this helps!

  3. Relax. They are more at risk than your kids. Children are known germ farms.

If, by your own account, she has virtually no immune system, wtf are you taking her out in public for???

Yes, my first answer was in fact a joke and I got quite a huge laugh out of your email to me.

    Lighten up hon.

  4. i think most people go through this, along with the aw how old is he/she! aren't they a big/small baby! when/how/where were they born? ETC! it drove me nuts!

i lost count of the number of people that came up (still do) to see him

  5. Its probably because you have attractive children and people can't help themselves.

  6. I am not looking forward to this after I give birth. I'm having twins and I know that I'm going to have the same problem, considering a lot of people have a fascination with twins. I'm just planning on telling them (nicely) to back off!

  7. I want to know the SAME THING!!! It's NOT easy to tell people not to touch your baby. I don't know how to do it or what to say without sounding like a b**ch. I don't want to sound rude to anyone but why do they feel like they can put their hands on someone else's baby? Do they go around touching other adults like that? No, because they think babies are cute. But just because you think a baby is cute doesn't mean you can just touch them whenever they want. It's not right. I'm not the confrontational type and I don't know how to go about asking people not to touch my son too.

  8. Ya people come up and touch my seven month old all the time.  I don't get it.  I don't think I have ever touched anyone's kids.  I have admired from a distance, but that is about it.  In my experience it is usually old people.  I've had a couple of ppl come up and start speaking a different language to her.  That drives me crazy...makes me wonder what they have said.  AND she'll be wearing a red and pink outfit and ppl will say, "what a beautiful baby boy!"  What idiots...

  9. i know how you feel............my bf's mum is alway's putting her unclean fingers in my son mouth because he is teething it drives me up the wall
