Why do computers needs a user interface

well pull out hte monitor n mouse n keyboard  form the PC n see how far you get with using it.

Thats why you need a UI. you need ti  to control the PC, it can't run on its own(well most home PC's can, obviosuly some AI can sort of run on its own)

some machines(ie at a factory) can run wihtout a UI, but will still have switches and sensors.

It makes it much easier for the average person to use.

Without an interface, code must be written to perform the simplest of tasks.
