Why do crimes happen to innocent people?

What is with all those crimes these days? Recently, there have been way too many crimes going on. All those gangs, violence, stealing, etc... I understand it's the environments and how they were raised, but isn't there any solution to it? Few days ago, someone I know got beat up so bad by some black people; he is still lying in the hospital bed. His brain got beat up so badly and it's just so messed up that he might just end up paralyzed for the rest of his life. And he has a wife and 3 daughters, which none of his daughters are over to ten years old. The youngest one is only couple of months old. What are they gonna do without their dad there supporting them. He may end up being paralyzed or not become normal again for the rest of his life just because some stupid people decided to rob him for his little money. It's just so stupid, why not rob a bank, a crime is a crime. I know to some of you may think that it's nothing, crimes like this happened everyday. But when something like this happens to people that you know, you'll understand what I mean. For those of you that feel sympathy for him, please be kindly enough to pray for him. His name is Mr. Wang. Thank you.

  1. Crimes happen to innocent people because evil people make the choices to prey on them.

I'm sorry for your friend, but I hope that you realize that most Black people are NOT like the ones who attacked him.

I'll pray for him before I go to bed tonight!

  2. The true answer is: because innocence is easy to take advantage of.

I will light incense and candles for Mr. Wang's recovery in my family shrine. I am a father of four, and please relay my good wishes to Mr. Wang's family. I would also ask if there is a collection being taken up in order to pay for his medical bills, which his family will likely not be able to cover, and if so how I might be able to contact the hospital to give a donation. It won't be much, but if enough people gave $1, then perhaps a significant portion of the bills might be covered.

People who are innocent don't understand all there is to understand about the nature of things. Because of this, craftier people can use this lack of knowledge or experience to their advantage, often fooling them into giving them money. However, people who aren't as intelligent merely need someone who isn't as physically strong.

Few people can match more than one person at a time during a violent confrontation. Therefore, gangs rely on their superior numbers to bully and intimidate others, often without stopping to consider the sheer number of lives they impact.

They decide that the only way they can get what they need is to take it from someone else. They are desperate because they lack both patience and enough knowledge to know how to overcome the root of their problems, whatever they might be (and there is no single issue, here: everyone's problems are not the same).

And because they can't afford anyone to stand up to them (being bullies who have to use more than one person to counter someone that could easily be overcome by even one of them), they get violent in order to prevent others from being empowered. However, any community that demands justice must also take the responsibility of ensuring that such justice is done. This is not accomplished through violence, typically, but merely in showing that violence is unwise. The threat of violent response is often more effective at deterring violence than the violence itself.

Above all, your community should not accept what has happened, for such an acceptance encourages more of the same to happen. Acting to serve justice does not mean revenge. It means ensuring that these people have no refuge in anonymity. It means an act that replaces their anger with fear, which will make them think without hurting them. The message for these men: Once lost, innocence can never be regained. They have robbed from the mouths of women and children, and must now accept the consequences for that action.

  3. their body language tells the crooks, I am ripe for the pickings.

  4. So sad.  Unfortunately, crimes happen to everyone.  I believe it is the degeneration of society and a lack of caring for mankind.  People just don't care about each other.  This is not the world that God intended for us.
