  1. ....,,probably herbivores are less aggresive fighters and no claws and sharp teeths,,,to hurt the crocs back....

...oso i guess on the same note....why we eat beef,mutton,chicken...meat of herbivores and why dont we eat tiger's or lion's meat....tho i know of some people eating croc's meat....taste better i guess....

  2. Crocodiles will kill anything that comes to the water's edge to drink, or enters the water. They probably prefer herbivores, as the meat of carnivores tastes unpleasant, but they will certainly kill a lion if one comes to the water when the croc is hungry. Lions are also known to kill crocodiles when they are on land.

  3. A crocodile will kill anything it can get its jaws on.  It is not the croc that evades the kill, it is the lion.  Lions are very much aware that a croc could kill it.  They stay out of croc waters.

  4. I'm sure there were times when large crocodiles ambushed and killed lions which came to the water's edge. Crocodiles regularly kill antelope and are known to have killed larger  animals, such as a rhinoceros. They could kill a lion and probably have, many times. But a crocodile would only be able to kill a lion when it's in its waterly element. Lions sometimes kill crocodiles traveling overland in search of new habitat.
