Question:

Why do crows call out for in late summer??

have heard them recently calling out and was wondering why they do this for at this time of year.

do they do this till winter ?

why dont we hear them in the Spring when you hear the other birds?

  1. Crows call out to other crows for various reasons. When they have found food, when there is a predator near by, and the parents will call to their babies if they feel they have gone too far. They do call out at all times of the year, you may just not notice it until your windows are open almost all the time.


  2. They nest in the spring around April, their eggs take around 35 days, the baby's stay with them for a long time.  Maybe they are just too busy and they don't want to call attention to their nest.
