  1. 2 bachelors of science degrees, 5 tattoos.  To me it's art, not defilement.

So who is uneducated and crude here?

  2. In many cultures ariound the world, tattooing marks the passage from childhood to adolescence and eventually to becoming an adult.

In western society, tattoos have been popular for centuries, and people get them for various reasons.

Personally, I don't have any tattoos, but I doubt people with tattoos are any more uneducated, stupid, vain or crude than those without.

Everyone expresses themselves in different ways.

    Cheers :-)

  3. I could be wrong, but the origin of tattoos came from India (at least that's what my mom told me).  It had religious significance or something.

I agree I've seen a lot of educated people with tattoos. It's just that they hide it for work. Most people don't know I have a tattoo, because I don't want to attract unwanted attention at work nor does it look professional to clients.

I probably will get another tattoo though.

  4. Some people like tattoos. What's it to you?

  5. actually all the people ive meet who have them are perfectly fine.

geez go the purtian lines "defiled" wats so bad about tatoos, cut the random genralisations. (and no i dont have one)

  6. Hmmmmm. Maybe you should wake up from the 1970's. Tattoos are accepted freely in a lot of places. And "crude vain usually uneducated".... What? I honestly do not know what to say.

  7. wow, and you sound so smart with your horrible grammar and lame assumptions!

i love my tattoos. i am educated enough to not judge people for being different than me. what can you say for yourself a*****e?

  8. Lots of educated people have tattoos. How do you have any way of knowing that tattooed people are uneducated, have you done a survey or something?

  9. I love my tatto, it can easily be covered up when I don't feel overly desperate for attention.

By the way, if your mind was any narrower, it would cave in.

  10. You are mistaken, I have a college education ,own and operate a fairly successful business and feel no particular need for attention.

I have a couple of tats, one is a club name ,and the other is my bike ,backed by the American flag with the word freedom beneath.

It means something to me !, just me.

  11. Their body. Their choice.

  12. Hold on a second buddy! I haven't defiled my body. I have three tattoos that have meaning for me personally. And I'm not working on getting any ones attention because you can't even see them unless I reveal them. Most people don't even know I have them until I tell them (and that's only if they ask me) I keep them concealed, but they have a meaning to both me and my family. I'm not vain and I'm very much educated. One of my tat's I received while serving in the Navy over sea's, and the other two represent my family and the bond that I have with my brothers and sister. I haven't defiled my body in anyway shape or form.

Now, if I was high all the time, an alcoholic,  and a high school dropout, then you would have grounds to place me in the same category as the rest. But just because you don't agree with getting tattoos it does not give you the right to stereotype or judge based on what you assume all people who have tattoos may be like (or will become).
