Why do they believe it is moral to take from the rich? Is this a Robin Hood theology?

  1. Great question.  But you won't get any answers from the Libs.  They are jealous of success.  Once they do become successful, they become Republican's.

  2. because they think the government just hands out money without realizing where it really comes from. Besides they are too busy protesting, slashing tires and causing mayhem to actually get a job and contribute.

  3. Why do successful people think that they don't have to pay taxes? Do they want our country to turn into a third-world country? Because third-world countries are the only countries in the world where people don't pay taxes. Or is it because successful people feel that they are entitled to have access to education, roads, fire department, library, etc., without paying for it?

Try reading a book sometime instead of listening to right-wing hate radio.

  4. They don't.  Stop listening to right-wing propaganda and read some non-fiction books.  That way you don't have to ask dumb questions like this one.

  5. Because they are LAZY. It's much easier to sit at home and collect food stamps and let the government pay your rent. Drives me nuts. I work so hard and have spent so much money to educate myself just to give a lot of it to people who refuse to work, pay their rent or educate themselves. I'm glad some people's lives are a cake walk, mine sure isn't. And why is that? Because I'm middle class, married, don't have children out of wedlock and WORK. Must be nice....That's why I'll be voting REPUBLICAN !

Diane: I'd love for my taxes to go toward more good funding, but I'm afraid a MAJORITY of it goes towards baby-mamas and people who CAN work, they just don't want to...boo-hoo, neither do the rest of us but WE DO ! Also, don't you think our country would be better if many of these people did work? We'd be much more efficent and not have so much spending on stupid stuff like welfare. I understand we have to have some subsidized programs, so why not let our Vets have it? Instead we treat them like c**p but give drug deals and low-lifes whatever they want.

  6. They're not entitled to the money of the rich and successful. Democrats are jealous.  Every last one of them.

  7. Bush has done a good job taking it from us all and spend it in Irak.

  8. I can spend my own money better than Bush Billionaires can spend my money for me.

The ultra rich got fifty five cents of every Bush tax cut dollar.

The bottom fifty percent of Americans own just 2.8 percent of the wealth and pay 3.3% of the tax. That isn't much but it is a bigger percentage of total worth than Billionaires pay.

Warren Buffett says that his $46 million annual income is taxed at 17.7 percent whereas his employees pay an average of 32.9 percent.

When John Kerry's ultra rich wife released her tax records she paid 14% bracket. That is because her husband was running form president and she paid every cent she could. McCain's ultra rich wife refuses to release her tax records . not because she cheated but because her accountants probably took every tax advantage allowed to the very rich and she is embarrassed.

Republican candidate Steve Forbes flat tax plan shows that IRS would generate the same revenue with the first $45,000 tax free for everyone and then everything above that capped at 15%.

That helps everyone except those few people getting millions, mostly idle rich living off inheritances.

The federal tax code has become so skewed in favor of investors over workers that personal taxes on earnings are now two-and-a-half times greater than personal taxes on investment income. Some 97 percent of The latest Bush  tax cuts that McCain first voted against but now supports will go to the top 3.7 percent of households that have incomes of over $200,000 a year. They are proposed to be phased in by 2010.

There is no problem if the United States had unlimited resources, but these fleets of Ferrari and yachts and so many multiple vacation palaces that they lose count of the houses come at the expense of a strong society.

The highly respected Urban Institute-Brookings Institution Tax Policy Center reports that households with incomes of more than $1 million a year — the richest 0.2 percent of the U.S. population — already are receiving tax cuts averaging $103,000 this year, before these two new tax cuts take effect.  The Tax Policy Center finds that the two tax-cut measures in question will give these “millionaires” nearly another $20,000 a year in tax cuts, when the measures are phased in fully.

These tax cuts account for much of the $2 trillion increase in the national debt projected to occur during the Bush presidency. They prompted a large group of Nobel laureates in economics to issue a statement last year condemning the administration's "reckless and extreme course that endangers the long-term economic health of our nation."

A country functions best when everyone is involved.

    Stop listening to Faux propoganda.

Go read a book on the subject.

Obama proposes lowering or not raising the tax on those individuals making under $200.000 a year and couple making over $250,000.

Bigger increases are coming to those making over 1,500,000 a year.

Some people sacrifice their lives for America. These people are heros. The greedy super wealthy may have to sacrifice the size of their fleet of lucxery cars or give up a half dozen or so of their vacation houses. If they fight this they are the evil traitors to a successful America.
