Why do disrespectful, mysoginistic men expect ALL women to like them?

I understand the low class, uneducated, low self esteem or ugly...

...but why do they think they can treat all women this way?

I am not a feminist. But I do agree with you. It seems that men who hate women want us to give them the most respect. That I find a paradox. And real ridiculous.

Usually they have ONE redeeming quality, like physical attractiveness or material wealth, and assume that all women will fall for it, no matter what. They don't care about the less tangible qualities that women are REALLY interested in.

Walter Sobchak, were you in the same pub as me last night?  I heard this comment from two different women I was out with (a group social thing): "there are no good men around", both followed or preceeded by statements that made them out to be the hottest women on Earth.

Now, to my answer?

People who disrespect others, either in your situation listed above, or the one I mentioned.  I often cop the belligerent female business woman/manager/staff member who is constantly reminding all and sundry about how much harder she has to work, the discrimination she has suffered from men and other women, about how she is never accorded the respect she deserves and so on.  I also cop men like this.

In both cases, I put it down to resentment and any sort of acquired atitude that makes them believe that the world owes them a living, as well as honour ang glory for being, well, average.

I have any number of women in my life experience who automatically demand respect: these are the hard-core feminista and so on.  Just because they believe what harridans like Germaine Greer say, they have usually lived a comfortable life, often very well educated, and they then choose to rail against the system that made them.  That I truly don't understand.

Poor behaviour towards the opposite s*x is not confined to men demeaning women, and I would not say that women who treat men in the same way you complain that some men treat you are rare: I reckon the numbers are similar.  It is a form of externalisation too: putting your hate and insecurities onto others.  It is always easier if you can name those 'others', and it is usually a group.  One way of acting out your insecurities is to have a sense of entitlement that the opposite s*x must accord you all the respect you crave because of who and what you are.

Remember, women do this to men just as much.

Read again what Walter Sobchak says. He is being very perceptive.

Misandrist women do not understand (or do not want to understand) the true nature of courtesy and respect. It is a two-way street or it is nothing. It is not about take, take, take. It is about give and take.

They think they can treat women poorly...but know they can't.  They live in the real world too and would get the c**p beat out of them if they acted on half of what they said here.  That being said...I honestly think (and hope) the large majority of them are trolls.  Which is why you never see me trying to force them to think like me.
