  1. To maintain their flexibility.  The water is warm so it helps keep the muscles warm and loose.  The pool they dive into is most likely the same temperature as the pool the swimmers compete in.  Swimmers swim in water that is much colder than a diver would prefer.

Divers are also in and out of the water more frequently that swimmers so their bodies notice all the temperature changes, from dry to cold & wet to warm, to dry and all over again.

  2. they shower in hot water to keep their muscles warm

  3. After they dive, thier muscles will start to tense up, becuase they just strained the muscles for a while. When they shower, it relaxes thier muscles, so they can dive again with no problem.

  4. im pretty sure ur talking about the olympics...

they shower cause they want to keep warm and keep their muscles from tensing up.

since the water in the swimming pool is usually hotter then the air, they get into the shower to keep warm until their next jump.

they would only leave the shower for interviews, to go to their next jump, and to do other small stuff... some divers even do the interview while showering.
