  1. The above reasons are indeed correct. The original reason was to allow the hospital some control over the bacteria on the clothing of the health care workers in nearly sterile environments like operating and exam rooms.

    But, now, it has just become a sort of uniform for health care workers and they are worn for comfort. They are also easy to replace when soiled.

    I am one of those older Doc's that change scrubs between each surgery just to reduce that little bit of bacteria that has grown or landed on my clothing.


  2. the looseness of the scrubs allow you to move, bend, stretch, pull, etc. more freely. sometimes doctors need to lift patients, pull them onto other beds, etc. it's just easier for manueverability i guess.

  3. moveability and they are soooo comfortable.

  4. this is true very comfortable, also flexibility.
