Why do dogs eat their own p**p?

Mine has done it a couple of times this week. It can't be because of a lack of nutrients. He gets high quality dog food.

Hi Jeanie...Coprophagia is a condition that compels dogs to consume f***s. Many speculate it could be a result of many things such as lack of particular nutrients/minerals in their diet, consuming f***s out of boredom, loneliness, anxiety or stress.
