  1. Since when do dogs have webbed feet?

  2. Dogs don't have webbed feet. I'm curious to know where you got this idea from.

Their toes stick are separated like ours are. they do have what is called foot pads..and these have sweat glads in them and help to keep their feet cool and are also protectors.

  3. Not all breeds of dog have webbed feet.  The following is a list of the breeds with webbed feet:

Akita, Brussels Griffon, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Chinook, Field Spaniel, German Shorthaired Pointer, German Wirehaired Pointer, Irish Water Spaniel, Labrador Retriever, Leonberger, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Otterhound, Plott Hound, Portuguese Water Dog, Redbone Coonhound, Spanish Water Dog, Weimaraner, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon

  4. Not all dogs do. Certain breeds do, however. Take a Labrador Retriever, for example. They were selectively bred to be able to swim and retrieve shot waterfowl. Dogs with webbed toes were able to swim faster and do the job better, so they were the ones who were allowed to reproduce. Breeds who didn't need webbed feet weren't bred to have them so they don't. Simple as that.

  5. Not all dogs have webbed feet.

The only breeds with webbed feet are hunting dog that have to swim to retrieve wild game eg- labradors.
