i heard dominicans use alot of sugar in their food why do they do that ??

  1. Because environment typically influences a cultures cuisine. The Dominican Republic as well as Jamaican islands have long been known for sugar being a huge cash crop and widely available.


  2. Italians add a little sugar to the pasta sauce to bring out flavors, not to make it sweet.

    When one makes homemade oatmeal is of course sweet, but we add a pinch of salt.
