  1. The sugar gives your blood sugar level a spike at first, but then it gives off insulin to lower the level.  Usually, too much insulin is given off if the level is very high and this leaves you with low blood sugar and feeling very sluggish.

  2. Maybe you should try CRUNK!!! energy drink.

CRUNK!!! Energy Drink is my favorite because it’s all natural and doesn’t contain popular chemicals or preservatives.

It’s the first energy drink to use natural pomegranate juice. And it’s designed to deliver mental and physical vitality while supporting the immune system. It’s got lots of beneficial herbs and vitamins, and I don’t crash when I drink it.  Check out more reviews here: http://www.crunkenergydrink.com/

  3. Energy drinks are often heavily sweetened, usually by sugar, and many contain caffeine. While both sugar and caffeine may give you a jolt at first, the blood sugar will rapidly decline and the effects of the caffeine will also take a dive. When that happens, the tiredness you felt before will return with a vengance, making you drowsy. I felt the same effect when I drank energy drinks, so I quit.

  4. I'm not sure you guys are getting what he is saying.  There is no energy, there is no spike.  Just 1) Drink it. 2) Dead tired.

I'm curious as well because I'll be tired, get an energy drink and then I'm crippled with fatigue.

I have noticed if I stand up and walk around a bit and get my blood pumping that the energy kicks in, then I can get back to work -- even better if I'm at home I can take about a 15 minute nap and I'm exploding with energy when I wake up.

I don't understand it, but something about it isn't quite right.

  5. The sugar-buzz is more like a sugar-bust because it gets into your system quickly and wears off even more quickly.
