Why do dryers need LPG?

What is the LPG used for? Can't a dryer be run on pure electricity??

  1. Liquified Petroleum Gas. Some use this, some use Natural Gas and some are electric. Different energy sources for the heat.


  2. Yes ,  but  for  years  it  was  far  more  $$$$$     run  an  electric  dryer .

    Only  people  who  had  no  choice  used  electric .

    Our  place  has  natural  gas  service  so  the  stove ,  water  heater  and  dryer  are  all  gas .

    But  with  the  current price  changes  in  fuel  commodities  ,  that  might  be  changing .
