Why do ebay sellers put a nickel in their packages?

Have recieved several packages with a nickel in a plastic baggy... wondering what the significants of this is...

I usually include a penny in the wallets and purses I make and sell. I was always told you should never  give an empty wallet. I guess its stupid, but the customers like it.

um........ebay sellers dont put nickels in their packages i think you were just lucky enough to find one
