  1. Because they act as a "Stimulant", & "what goes Up......." :0

  2. Usually it is the insane amount of sugar in those drinks.  Also the Taurine and Guranna. (not sure if I have them spelled correctly).

  3. Because energy drinks are the bane of human existance and I hate them.. IN seriousness though, they allow a human to operate on simple carbohydrates which, like soda and other sugar products - sugar being a simple carbohydrate - offer a short amount of quick energy which results in a energy low afterward.

  4. By crash, do you mean collapse? My son-in-law almost died from too many energy drinks, it's the caffeine in them

  5. 2 reasons.

The sugar in them, like in soda makes you crash after the rush from the sugar. This is greater than a soda crash as energy drinks have more sugar in them.

Caffeine takes more water to process than caffeinated drinks prove. This dehydrates us. When we are dehydrated we become tired and lethargic. This means the caffeine will actually intensify the crash.

A simple fix for this is to drink extra water. The extra water offsets the dehydrating effect of the caffeine. Also water is also a natural energizer and increases energy and motabolism. With enough water the sugar crash will be minimized and possibly not even noticed.
