Why do essential oil perfume recipes use distilled water instead of regular tap water?

  1. Yup, where I live they cost $0.68/each

    This is why you shouldn't drink tap water...


  2. Distilled water has all impurities removed whereas tap water has minerals, chlorine, etc that can affect the quality and consistency of your essential oil perfumes.  

    You can buy a gallon of distilled water from the supermarket for about $1.00.
