  1. Do you mean existentialists?  If so, its a rather broad category so why not?  I don't think that he was a fatalist.

  2. Because of the longing which develops within the human heart for that which rises above mere existence.  Existentialists are mired within this emotional quagmire.

Attaching themselves to Nietzsche, and visa versa...offers a way out for their tortured souls.

  3. It is a ridiculously broad category. Nietzches was into many things such as existentialism. This is from the wiki article.

"Nietzsche found in Greek tragedy an art form that transcended the pessimism and Nihilism one might find in a fundamentally meaningless world. The Greek spectators, by looking into the abyss of human suffering and affirming it, passionately and joyously, affirmed the meaning in their own existence."

  4. I havent noticed that...

But what I have noticed is that everyone who finds a philosopher who has said or done something that reinforces their own ideas... that philosopher gets put on a pedestal and is identified with.
