  1. You can, but you don't have to.  When they come in trios or quads, usually the colors coordinate and look good together so you can make an easy look (less experienced people may not be able to find good matches in single eyeshadows), but you can use one or two if you like.

  2. Yes, usually

    3 Colors look good together

  3. so you can create different looks with special effects you can use all colors at one time.

  4. The colors are usually in a combination with two lighter shades and a darker shade. The middle shade goes across your lid, the darkest shade goes in your crease and the lightest shade goes below your brow bone into the crease.

  5. in my opionion it looks kinda cool. that and probably yea they think you could mix them.

  6. some brands like maybelline

have trios where each color eyeshadow is

labeled like LID CREASE and OUTER CORNER.

so you put the LID color on your lid. and

yeahh. yu get the rest. lol. =]]

  7. you do not have to use all shadows together but they are packed together because the look good together. there is almost always a base color, a highlight color, and a crease color. the crease color should be the darkest, the highlight the lightest, and the base should be the medium toned one.

  8. You're supposed to apply different colors to different sections of the eyelid. I know that L'oreal does a trio (I know it comes for blue and green eyes) that shows you how and where to apply each color. It's pretty neat, you should check it out :)

  9. You can but you dont always have to. One is supposed to go up to the brow, this is usually the lightest colour, one is for the lid, and the darkest one is for the crease

  10. there colors that complement each other and can be worn together

  11. you can use them together or not. usually you use the lightest color on ur inner lid, medium color in the middle of ur lid and the darkest in the crease/outter lid.

for your brow bone/hilighter..you should use a natural shade (like if ur trio is white blue black you shudnt use the white on ur brow bone, despite what someone else said). great hilighters ive gotten from mac are ricepaper and shroom. i also have a brow shader from them. i highly recommend their brow shaders its very easy to use. and you don't need to buy another shadow for your hilight.. it comes with one! it comes with a darker shade to fill in your brows and a great hilight color that looks very nice and natural. brows are very important because they frame your eye..if they look jacked up..your whole eye will!
