Why do fast food restaurants get it wrong so much of the time?

  1. Anything that is not the norm causes them problems. They have to work as fast as they can they don't have to get the order right; if it is wrong you might or might not come back. They are hoping you don't come back to complain.


  2. they are called fast food , so they have to move fast if they want to keep there customers

    and they dont take the time to read the screens correctly

  3. Some cashiers don't put the modifications into the till. For example if somebody orders a cheeseburger with no pickles and the cashier forgot to press "NO PICKLES" on the till, then the person on grill making the food wouldn't know. Many times, the order screen is the only connection that people making the food and the cashier has, especially when it is busy!

    Also, sometimes the people making the burger will forget to make the modification because their goal is to make it extremely fast and send it out.

  4. The employees are generally not motivated. They work for low wages with not much incentive to excel. Combine this with a stressful work environment, and lack of reprimand for mistakes (i.e. you drive off before anyone notices the mistake) and you have a low quality output.

  5. it's fast food, they work quickly. and they don't care , they're not a fancy restaurant, no one's going to write a bad review about them.

  9. Fast Food places will hire almost anyone. Which is good for those people who don't have much going for them, because they  have a place to work at, and provide for their family. However, young kids also work their and do not put a lot of effort in and often mess up orders and simple tasks just because they aren't always focused on what they are supposed to do.

  10. Because they hire people of another country to run the speaker and you can not understand them and they can not understand you, so it is just frustrating!! Before you pull away mabye check you food, I do!

  13. When, you order through the drive-thru it's hard to hear everything that the person is saying. So, let's say I want something with no ice in a pop, they give me a pop with ice.

    Maybe, they couldn't hear the person in the speaker say no ice, and thus put ice in the pop. Also, maybe they don't have a button for no ice on the cashier, so what can you do about that?

    Most fast food places hardly mess up the order that I go to.

Usually they are right.  I think they punch the wrong button or the cook doesn't hear what he's been told.  Or, they are very busy.  Talking about being wrong, we get Applebee's carry out sometime and I usually ask for extra BBQ sauce for the riblets (used to be almost dry).  We rarely got any.  We finally went inside to complain and the manager gave us free meals.  Now, they put more sauce on themselves.

  15. because they hire children and the chances are high that you wont be back to get what they owe you.

    also   stress   out  a  lot  of  bills  to  pay   and  so   little  money .   OR  some  of  them  just  do  not  care   .
