Why do fat people have it hard when it comes to the dating scene?

We have a nice lady friend who is 5 foot 10 and weighs 329 pounds and she wants a good looking slim man about 30 years old but they don't want her.

Its nice that you and your wife care enough to help, but in all honesty there isnt much you can do besides be supportive. You know being that obese to me shows a lack of care for ones self, not a lot of thinner people find that appealing. Instead of helping them find love help them find a healthier them. In the long run they will get the thin person and feel better about themselves.

I'm not exactly skinny and I have never had any problems.  I know that I am still cute regardless of my weight, others love me because I love myself.

Well why do they not want a fat person?  Sounds like they are just as discriminating.  Look if they want a skinny person because they think s/he is attractive then why haven't they considered that many non-fat people feel the same way (that skinny is attractive).  I'm not condoning this behavior by the way (that skinny is attractive all the time).

They sound a bit shallow for only wanting slim.
