Why do fat white women get more play than fat black women?

I have two overweight half-white light-skinned sisters who get a lot of play. I am overweight and just a cute and even more educated but I very rarely get asked out. If we are in a group together, I am often overlooked for one of them. They even have children and I do not. Their daughters do not deter men. They are very beautiful girls but I need to understand why. Why do people always assume light is right?

what makes you think its to do with race? and they not white, you said they are half white.

Why do people do that, someone else thats mixed on here just said they are black, even though they are mixed, they are mixed, not black, or white. not that it matters

Im sure its got nothng to do with you being black,maybe they are just more confident, it sounds like you are not.

I read an article saying that most men of all races prefer lighter women. So go figure.

Even with that it is their lost. In our society we assume darker skinned black women are either Aunt Jemimas- you know matronly, loud, overbearing, rude, uneducated with a lot of babies or whores and welfare queens.

Light skinned iseen as more polite, educated, slender, more lady-like. Also when you are fat people assume the worst about you, too. So, may be lose a little weight then see if the tide will turn. I bet it will. People are nothing if not superficial.

Perhaps its your attitude and self-concept. You have internalized certain things and you may not think so but I bet it's affected your aura.There are some beautiful brown skinned and dark skinned black women that get more "play" than most. Joy Bryant is a stunner, so is Vivica Fox. I have also noticed that when a white man dates a sistah she is usually dark complected.
