  1. Depends on the pool, the rules by the manager, the city, the club, whoever owns the pool.

    My niece is a lifeguard, and one or two piece suits are optional at the pool she works. She prefers two piece. Most are an athletic cut with no ties on the top, drawstring on the bottom.

    At the YMCA where I swim laps, the manager does not allow two piece suits or tankinis on the female guards. She does not want pesky boys bothering the guards, gawking over their two piece suits.


  2. If we wear a two piece and dive in, something's going to happen. When they are saving someone they can't worry about whether their top or bottom is falling off.
