Women are either equal to men or they are not. Make up your mind.

  1. Hypocrites - they want whatever is a benefit to them at any given time.

  2. Do feminists really do that?

  3. What gets me is when women are loud and brash and flirtatious, when they engage in one night stands and c**p like that, and still get mad when they aren't treated like a lady.

    Duh.

I don't want to be treated like one of the guys - I want to be treated like a lady. So I try to act like one. PS - "ladylike" doesn't mean "inferior". My worth as a human is equal to a man's worth. But I am not the same as a man, I'm different, so I want to be treated differently. Yes?

  4. I am a woman and I am sick and tired of these women.  They expect equal rights but wear low neck things to work and want men to open their doors.  If you advocate equal rights don't expect anything less.  Now, i admire the women out there who want equal rights and expect equal treatment.  But the world is also not fair in everything.  Women have been genetically bred over hundreds of years to be the way we are today.  And guys are the way they are today for the same reason.  In reality, men move heavy stuff.  Women with a lot of working out and stuff can do that too but it's more natural for a guy.  And well, the world isn't fair.  Men most often are discriminated too because they are men.  Look at when people get divorced.  Women usually get custody.

  5. It depends on the women. If she is ***** then treat her less. If she is nice then treat her nice =)

    Same goes for men.

  6. Good manners should not be limited by gender.  I can hold the door open for other people and I can say "Thank you" when someone holds the door open for me.

  7. and they wonder why they are called hypocrites.

  8. Because they can get away with it.  However hard core feminists object to "being treated like a lady" and according to them, want to be "treated like a person."  Perhaps kindly they may submit a manuel telling us guys what is and is not proper ways to treat them and what vocabulary to use.

Plus how do we tell a feminist from a normal woman?  Will we men continue to get bashed by them because we are polite?  :()  Ok I jest ladies,

don't freak out on me.  Ooops I forgot, ladies is now a taboo word?

  9. A 'lady' is strictly the wife of a 'lord', not a term to be bandied around to everyone.

  10. That's just the hypocrites.  Proper feminists don't expect to be treated as ladies, they want to be treated no different than a man.

On the other hand, the hypocrites set equality aside when it suits them, like wanting to be treated like a lady when it's convenient.

  11. The hypocrites wish to keep their social norms and protocols that benefit them but I think most feminists genuinely want to be treated the same as men.. well unless it involves aspects of their bodies that need special attention and men lack for example.

Interestingly if they just said "we want to be treated fairly" that would solve all the problems and confusion. For example let's say they need more toilets than men, then it could be fair to give them more toilets even if by definition it is unequal.

I'm an advocate of equity or fair treatment NOT equal treatment but that's just me

  12. There's a difference between being treated equally and manners.  Don't you feel that everyone would be better off if everyone treated each other with courtesy and respect.

  13. I just view it on a natural clause; it's much easier that way; there's no bickering and fighting. Where everyone does their thing and it all fits into the scheme of things.

  14. We don't...

I am not sure who you are talking about but I prefer the only man treating me as a lady to be my husband... For all the other men... treat me like an equal or just ignore me...

  15. don't know who you have been talking to.

i don't want to be treated in the classical sense of a lady.

  16. Feminists are less likely to want to be treated like ladies than anyone. All the feminists I know want each partner to take care of themselves when necessary and take care of each other when necessary.

  17. lol...who says that then? OK...no, what women want mate is to be treated with respect, politeness, and with common human decency, not the hem of our crinolines dusted down after we alight from the Brougham!

And, look at your statement about equality...we have a choice do we, if you say we are equal then we must be right...? Expect? So, at least you agree its taking some doing to get then?

  18. Everyone should be treated nicely and politely, whether or not they are male or female.

Women and men should be equals. Being treated like a "lady" doesn't have anything to do with the feminist movement.

  19. We shouldn't have to choose one or the other... we can be treated as equals and be respected for our individual traits as human beings, and also be proud of our feminine nature. Just as men can be both equals and gentlemen. :)

  20. Everyone is equal......it's what they do with it that determines how people will treat them.

(I know that's a stretch in this White World)

    The Butch Administration

  21. Is this some imagined scenario you dreamed up?

I don't want to be treated like a "lady." I want to be treated like a person.

  22. We expect to be treated with respect in reference to our individuality. I would probably not hold the door for a group of very big men who can walk but I certainly would hold the door for a person in a wheelchair or who is using a walking stick or crutches.

Women and men are equal but different. Men say they want to be treated equally too so does that mean that women should have videos all over the television with dozens of men shaking their butts.

Would you treat a satanist and a saint equally.

Would you treat a nun and a prostitute equally.

Would you treat a child and an elderly person equally.

Would you treat a rape victim and a rapist equally.

Would you treat a cop and a criminal equally.

The world is not EQUAL but it should be, sadly humans are VERY imperfect and we haven't nor probably ever will figure it all out on our own.

  23. You are wrong.  There is a public and private sphere.  In the public sphere a feminist wants legal equality.  In the private sphere, she and her SO can organize things the way they like.  This is not a difficult concept.  Some women want to be modern in the private sphere, some want to be traditional in the private sphere.  Private lives are nobody else's business.

  24. It doesn't matter what people expect when it come to how they are treated, If you treat people with respect , then you are acting properly, If people give you reasons to not respect them, then do your best to stay away from them and cut them off from everything, even looking at them, People want this or that to be this way or that way, What do you do? Just be yourself and treat other with the golden rule.
