And why do they insist on inclusion into every activity - poker, fishing, cars, army etc. (even if they hate or dont understand it) to feel worthy?

  1. oh, you mean like the seminars on motivation that a good number of men visit.

also, some men are attracted to women that are highly involved in their social outlets.

come on ronnie, toss up something worth debating!

  2. It's simply not true that feminists "need" all those things; most don't watch, read, or follow any ofthe things you listed.

Nor is it true that all feminists insist on being included in every activity you7 mention. Most who do DO want to do the thing (there's no law against women fishing; my grandmother used to LOVE to go fishing, for example).

You've lept to the assumption that the reason is "to feel worthy" which is simply something you made up, and has nothing to do with reality.

You also seem to be making the common, but false, assumption that all people who believe women are human beings and not some lesser species are women. Not true. REAL men are feminists, as they don't need to deny the humanity of half the human race in order to feel worthy.

The only feminists I've ever known who "insisted" on playing poker, fishing, working on cars (or driving them), or going into the army, did so because they WANTED to.

One could ask why people who hate women "insist" on engaging in any of the above activities. Why you think that's a different question is beyond me.

  3. “Some people see things that are and ask, Why? Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not? Some people have to go to work and don't have time for all that ...”  George Carlin....

I am a women I can play poker, fish, drive/fix cars, and I am a veteran of the US Army.  I don't hate those things and I do understand them; I know they don't make a man or women feel worthy... It takes greater things then what you listed for a person to have worth.

  4. Same reason men use sports, cars, strip clubs, p**n, and conquest of women. What else is there to do?

  5. Do they?

If a woman likes poker does that automatically make her a feminist in your mind?  I used to go fishing with my father when I was 12.  Was I a feminist in Junior High School?

    You sound a bit confused.

  6. we do? that's news to me. i watch hardly any tv (no chat shows), don't read self help books and .. gurus? well i've lived in india but never got the whole guru thing.

ho hum. what else are you going to pull out of your ****?

  7. hmm.

never been to a guru. never read a motivational book...never watched one of those lifetime shows....

i'm in the military but here i thrive...i live in Alaska so i'm an avid fisher/boater....i don't believe in gambling though, and i'm more of a truck kinda gal than a car gal.

shhh....i can almost hear the wind whistling through the holes in your argument...

then again, they grow us gal's different up here.

  8. I'm a feminist and I have never read a feminst (or any "empowering") book, NEVER watch chitchat shows. I don't insist on being included in cars or the army (atleast not infantry).

I like poker but if it's guys poker night and I'm not invited that's still fine with me, sometimes I just wanna be around those of the same s*x too....My point is you are over generalizing to the max.

    I feel adequate as is.

  9. Well because serving in a battlefield is not exactly a safe way of projecting your ideals on people.

How many men die in wars and are forgotten.

    Think about this!!!

  10. I'm a feminist and I've never owned a television.  I watch them, though, in hotel rooms when I travel.  (People shouldn't watch them.  Don't watch them.  I think parents of boys should throw all the TV's and video games out because boys are getting stupider by the day watching sports and playing so much in mindless passive games like that.).  Anyway, as a feminist, I don't want to be "included" in on any activity.  That connotates "following" someone else's vision.  Why would people want to waste their lives trying to meet "cultural expectations" and trying to be "included" in on the visions of others when Life is supposed to about unfolding our OWN self-expectations and visions?

I prefer to lead because I can't bear to be bogged down by cultural lard or fubar.  And I do lead, quite well.  I have my own healthy, successful vision and optimistic rational gusto and dreams and self-determination and I am happy creating my own pleasures and meaning.  Besides, I netted $43,000 last year in poker.  EEEEEEha!  (You ARE aware that penises are not required in order to play poker, right?  OR, maybe you should post a sweet little link of you playing poker with your p***s, IF you're over 18, thank you very much.  Maybe even a video. We could call it, "Patriarchal Penile Poker. lol.  Oh, gosh, I'm laughing so HARD . . .Penile Poker.  I can't be laughing like this.  I have to work today.)

It ain't about women being annoying about sticking their noses into "male domains".   That's a pathetically moronic delusion some people suffer, that's it's a "man's world or a White man's world. lol. Who cares how I bother ANYONE that stupid?  I utterly disrespect cultural arrogances everywhere I go.  Life's too short for that level of ego-fragility.  It's about getting the message out to the people up ahead of me to either lead, follow or get the h**l out of my way because I'm coming through with a smile on my face.  Just try keep up with ME!   Wanna go skydiving with me today, Ronnie?  I'll "include" you.  lol

  11. As for me, I find poker, fishing, and cars boring as all get out...but hey, each to their own tastes! Also, who says such activities make you "worthy?"

I will not be made to feel ashamed for serving in the US Marines, though. A woman has just as much right to serve her country as a man does!

As for those talk shows, motivational books, and gurus, etc. Men are just as vulnerable to those as women are. It's not women who are buying the Tony Robbins and Donald Trump books! Also, if men think such things are repulsive, then WHY are most of those talk shows hosted by men, and some of the books written by men? Jerry Springer, Dr. Phil, Montel, Maury, the Mars and Venus guy John Gray...the last time I looked they were all of the male gender!

You ask why do women insist on inclusion into every activity?  Maybe you should wonder why do some men insist on EXCLUDING women?

Is it because maybe they're so afraid that the woman might actually be BETTER at the activity than the man is, so to keep their "pooor widdle fragile ego" intact they decide to start a "He-Man Woman Haters Club" and put out the "No Girlz Allowed" sign like in that "Hearts and Thumps" short from 1937 on the old time "Our Gang" series?

    lolololol

  12. Why do men need Internet p**n, Playboy, Hooters, Viagra, and Red Corvettes at 48 years old to feel adequate.

They don't need it, they want it.

  13. Same as masculinist needs Playboy magazine,Porno,etc.etc....

  14. I was banned from my boyfriend's poker game because the other guys feel uncomfortable talking about boobies in front me. But I just wanted to play poker!

  15. From what I've seen, feminists are the first to laugh at the "motivation" industry. As for everything else, why shouldn't women be allowed to partake in it, unless one of them actually doesn't understand it and will inevitably s***w it up?

  16. Because they are too d*** lazy to get off their a**** and work for a living like the rest of us.

  17. They insist on being included into every activity because there ARE women who enjoy those activities and don't see why they should be excluded based only on having a v****a.  I don't care if I'm not included in some kind of fishing club, because I don't like fishing, but I certainly think I should have the OPTION to join if I did have an interest in it.
