Why do few Muslims to condemn the vio_ence and intolerance of fellow Muslims?

The vast majority of Muslims, it is said, want peace. But some have shaken this world with their vio_ence and intolerance. Yet few Muslims - as far as I know - dared to criticize or condemn the behavior of the violent and radical few. Is this inability or failure of many Muslims to condemn such actions of their co-religionists be cause for alarm? Germans kept silent about the Fuhrer (first name: Adolf) in the years leading to World War II. Whatever happened to right reason and fairness? Do Muslims tolerate bad behavior of fellow Muslims?

Because we are Kaafirs, or non-muslims or Infedils. If they go against their own fellow muslims, a fatwa could be issued on them and they may be killed too! Just for safety reasons you know. But I know that a lot of Muslims are against the violence caused by Islamic Terrorists. Terrorism and Killing does not represent Islam.

According to Tirmidhi Hadith No. 171, the prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said, "My Ummah will be fragmented into seventy-three sects, and all of them will be in h**l fire except one sect." The companions asked Allah’s messenger which group that would be. Where upon he replied, "It is the one to which I and my companions belong."

The Glorious Qur’an mentions in several verses, "Obey Allah and obey His Messenger". A true Muslim should only follow the Glorious Qur’an and the Sahih Hadith. He can agree with the views of any scholar as long as they conform to the teachings of the Qur’an and Sahih Hadith. If such views go against the Word of Allah, or the Sunnah of His Prophet, then they carry no weight, regardless of how learned the scholar might be.

If only all Muslims read the Qur’an with understanding and adhere to Sahih Hadith, Inshallah most of these differences would be solved and we could be one united Muslim Ummah

The Book of Faith (Kitab Al-Iman) [001:0078] It is narrated on the authority of Abu Shuraih al-Khuzai' that the Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observed: He who believes in Allah and the Last Day should do good to his neighbour and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to the guest and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day should either Speak good or better remain silent.

Ch 16 v125.  Invite (mankind, O Muhammad SAW) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islâm) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Revelation and the Qur'ân) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.

ch :5 v32.If anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.

Blood Money (Ad-Diyat) [83:10] Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "The biggest of Al-Kaba'ir (the great sins) are (1) to join others as partners in worship with Allah, (2) to murder a human being, (3) to be undutiful to one's parents (4) and to make a false statement," or said, "to give a false witness."

Ch : 29 v64.   And this life of the world is only an amusement and play! Verily, the home of the Hereafter, that is the life indeed (i.e. the eternal life that will never end), if they but knew.

Ch 67 v1.   Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things.

      v2.   Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving.

Ch 17 v 19 .  And whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it, with the necessary effort due for it (i.e. do righteous deeds of Allâh's Obedience) while he is a believer (in the Oneness of Allâh— Islâmic Monotheism), then such are the ones whose striving shall be appreciated, (thanked and rewarded by Allâh)

Prophetic Commentary on the Quran (Tafseer of the Prophet (pbuh)) [60:303] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet, said, "Allah said, 'I have prepared for My pious worshipers such things as no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard of, and nobody has ever thought of. All that is reserved, besides which, all that you have seen, is nothing." Then he recited:-- 'no soul knows what is kept hidden (in reserve) for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.' (32.17)

Most leaders of the Islamic nations condemn violence.  But it's hard for the common Muslims to condemn fellow Muslims fighting against non-Muslims, because they know a lot of Muslims have been suffering under the hands of non-Muslims for such a long time - like the Palestinians and now the Iraqis, and nothing is being done about it.  So somehow, Muslims feel the non-Muslims are just getting what they deserve.

Those few muslims are only reacting to what west have been doing to muslims of  world specifically in palestine.

Your peaceful slogan "Israel have right to exist" is message of death to tens of thousands of palestinian muslims. Israel have literally massacred muslims in palestine, made them refugees, throw aways them from their homes. This is going on since last 60 years. It seems west are unanimous in supporting Israel for this communal and racial crimes. I won't condemn those few violent muslims untill west unanimously stop supporting Israel.

Many muslims do condemn the violence of the fanatics.  They just don't get much press...for whatever reason.

As for intolerance towards other religions...that trait is shared by nearly all the Abrahamic faiths.  You will encounter the same attitude among Christian and even Jewish sects.
