  1. lol annoying just! funny you posted this, only today have had to have enviromental health out to get rid of a wasp nest in my loft! ha been hearing the buzzing at night through the ceiling when up feeding baby, though when theyd sprayed the nest earlier, said was bees and not wasps and was illegal for them to do! i should have had bee keeper out-worse bit said could be 7000 up there! ("o)!! ha,well dont know why they make that noise, but wish theyd keep it down at night!! lol

  2. I don't know and don't care as all i do know is i kill about ten a day cos they really do my fookin head right in buzzing about me but most of all bbbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzz around my baby!!!!

    aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  3. its their wings movin so fast

  4. Because their wings are moving at such a rate it makes a buzzing noise, if you slowed it down the it would sound just like a bird flapping it's wings. To put it simply if you clap your hands at a decent rate it sounds normal but if you speed it up it's hard to distinguish between each clap. Same as a fly.

  5. similar to a fan, its their little wings flapping at high speeds

  6. Its their wings flapping so quickly that it makes a buzzing sound

  7. The buzzing is more than just their wings flapping - it's the way that they are flapping. It's not like birds, flies have what is known as a "click mechanism" which is responsible for their very fast wing beat frequency and the noise.

The fly's thorax actually deforms as the flight muscles power the wings - the movement of the wings clicks the thorax into a stable "up" or "down" positions which clicks in and out of place by the elasticity of the exoskeleton. This way a fly can get two wing beats (or more) for each muscular contraction. The speed of the clicks resonates in the thoracic cavity and creates a characteristic buzz.

The buzz is very important to flies - many use this sound to identify and locate potential mates. Each species has a subtle, characteristic sound that we can't hear but they can - so if a fly doesn't fly right, they never get to reproduce.

If it's annoying to you, then you're probably a bit too self-absorbed - you're no more important than the bugs....

  8. 1. to be annoying

    2. because of their wings

    3. because they know we hate it

    4. and to warn u of incomming

  9. it's a disturbing of the air... because they flap their wings so fast.

It's not coming from their VOCAL CHORDS!

They can flap in a way that creates the BUZZ or not. (depending on the angle)

    I hope this helps.

  10. There wings vibrate

  11. Yeah, it's their little wings moving so quickly, but it is very annoying, especially when they keep coming near your ears, it's almost like they know they're annoying you and keep on coming back lol.

  12. Wings. Put a pic of your baby up!

  13. because the movement of there wings actually makes the air to vibrate producing by that the buzzing sound so the faster they move the stronger the sound

  14. I can't tell if the question is serious, however I know the answer. Bees and flies have very light wings which they are able to move very fast (up and down). I think the rate at which they move their wings is like 5000 per minute (or thereabouts...). This speedy contact with air creates the buzzing sound that you hear when you're near them, it's basically the extremely close range of sound waves that you're hearing.

    Hope that helped you.

  15. it is the sound of there wings

  16. you may think the buzzing is annoying think how annoying your chattering is to them!!

  17. because they have forgotten the lyrics

  18. I starred your question.

  19. Its the air moving over there wings thats causes a vibration in th air....a buzz

  20. they move their wings very fastly for balancing it's body

  21. Because their tiny wings are flapping so fast you can hear them which makes the buzz noise.  OMG - just think if we flapped our wings what we would sound like.  LOL.  :-)

  22. The buzzing sound is heard when the bee makes the air vibrate in some way. It used to be thought that the movement of the wings caused the sound. However the bees can buzz even when the wings are at rest.

So it is probably the vibration of the muscles in the thorax causing the thorax to vibrate that makes the buzzing sound.

  23. Cuz they can. I am glad to hear it cuz I know to get the heck away from them.

  24. It is the speed of their wings.

When they are still, no buzz.

    xx

  25. It's the noise made by their wings moving through the air.

  26. Their wings are moving very fast which is displacing the air around them which makes a bzzz noise. It's the same reason a guitar makes noise.

  27. because their tiny wings are moving so,so fast it they basicly vibrate and when something vibrates it makes a noise.

  28. its the wings,foture teller,ur a idiot
