Why do flies rub the front or hind legs to gether, almost like they're hatching plans?

  1. yes they are cleaning themselves. their legs have taste receptors so it is important for them to keep them clean.  Their feet secrete a bacteria substance that cleans them.


  2. The previous information is accurate but here's something else you might not know. Flies get parasites. They use the legs to remove mites but they are unable to remove eggs of other parasites which are laid on top of the body. If you ever come across a house fly with white spots on the back, they are eggs. Flies vomit on their food too and then eat it.

  3. they clean the whiskers in the front and the clean the hind legs after that
