  1. Officially, they say it's because the northern magnetic pole would disturb the electronic devices of the airplane above the pole (where every direction is North and suddenly South and North again, etc.). This argument I can understand at night and in stormy weather.

But - taking it a little esoteric - according to some researchers, there's something that someones want to hide from us there. Talking openly, some believe, northern light is not only an aftermath of ions hitting the Earth atmosphere, but rather something coming from INSIDE of the Earth. I you check photos of planets of our Solar system, f.e. in the Google, just type in: Mars north pole, venus north pole, saturn north pole, etc, you will see something strange around the poles.

Some experts believe, every planet has a 'source of energy' or 'source of life' or just simply a 'source of water" at their poles, which streams forth from there. In sumerian mythology, which is the earliest known recorded story of the genesis, life on Earth was born by Tiamat, the godess of great water under the earth.

They say, the aurora borealis, and aurora australis (northern light and southern light) make a perfect-shaped circle, when appears, and seems coming from the inside towards the sky, and not the opposite, what scientist say.

There are conceptions about a hole in the Earth's core somewhere near the north pole, which leads to the underwater territory of the Earth. Some say this entrance to the inner Earth is dry, and you can go down there to the hollow Earth, where the Earth's core is actually an inner sun, which shines for the inner world, that's been living there undisturbed on ther inner side of the Earth's core, for hundreds of thousands of years.

So, they dont want nobody to know about the existence of the Source of Life at the North Pole, thats why no plane flies over the poles.
