Why do foster parents abuse their foster children?

Question

I've heard a million stories of foster parents doing this, and I don't understand. Why would they become foster parents if they were just going to abuse their kids? What am I missing here, because it makes no sense to me?

Some people become foster parents because they recieve a monthly check for the children. Instead of them becoming foster parents for the love of children some do it for the love of money. They can care less about the wellbeing of the children because they are recieving nice monthly checks and government funds. Also, the problem lies within the DYFS people not researching the homes they allow these children to enter in.

Also, i don't want to generalize all foster parents as abusive because they are not. My mom just became a foster parent to a 10 day old baby. We had him for 5 days now and we love the heck out of that baby.

Alot of foster parents are only doing it for the money.They are poor and uneducated .I was a foster kid and had GREAT foster parents!Im white and they were the 1st black people I ever met.I will allways remember them!
