What im askin is why do they have to act so differnet as in act cooler, be a little bit ruder. Try to live the Rock N roll way...lol its dumb. I mean there music is good, they have couple of albums, but they dont need to keep on dreamin there goin to make it big. They never talk to me anymore as much, never call, always drinkin or smokin weed. The drinkin and partying dont bother me, i have fun, but the smoking is makin them dumber and lazier, its stupid.

  1. It is a shame.  I have seen this before.  Don't put yourself out but also don't be raining on their dream.  My son had a situation like this and remained friends but just did not participate in his friend's life.  Fortunately his friend outgrew the drugs and those doing them.  My son was there to lend support in his efforts to get away from the band and the drugs.  It was not easy but he continued to be there for him.  Other friends dropped him and it caused permanent breaches in friendships.  He was successful in staying sober and clean and is now in a really great and successful band that does not do drugs and he and my son remain best of friends and talk often even though it is now long distance.  So if you feel you want to distance yourself then do so for now.  If you want to be there if they ever decide to get back to real life, then more power to you.  Do not let it get to you, but if it does you may need to move on with your own life for now until they learn how detrimental and dead end smoking can be and decide they want to change their ways..  Good luck.

  2. I guess you weren't giving enough support  to the band

Like the old ridle goes... What is a rock star with out a girlfriend/ groupie..... HOMELESS

  3. Yes from my personal experiences people do change when they are in a band.  Everyone thinks & hopes to make it big in the music world they are a dime a dozen.  Everyone wants to be a rock star. I know guys that are in their forties & still think they will be a rock star.  They still party, smoke weed, drink pickup women, play in dives, they just don't want to grow up.  Yes i believe everyone has a dream but come on maybe the weed helps them think they are a rock star.
