Why do friends grow distant?

Why do friends grow distant?

because its life and people change because of work, school, family partners etc or sometimes because they simply dont care :(

It's just natural thing that happens in life. I've graduated from hs, almost 3 years ago and i've lost contact with all my hs friends, but i made new friends at college, but then when i leave college im going to lose contact with them and make new friends at the workplace or wherever i go. It's just how things are.

I want to know the same thing. but i think its because people change and your friends make different friends and those friends change your friend.

i live 3,000 miles away from my friends

as we get older, our priorities in life changes through careers, education, family or relocation.  these days people are just to busy getting on their lives no time for friendship these days.

I think every case is different and it depends in the relationship you guys had and their personalities.

But also, I believe that (like many out there) I've lost friends because just like any relationship if you don't put in the TIME, CARE, or EFFORT, you just drift apart. We end up finding another friend or person who is there to fill their present emotional needs.

people change they stop sharing the same hobbies and interests, they grow apart when they get older and get a busier schedule life goes on and so do u

Because life and people change, they get older, find jobs, move to another state, get married, have kids, go to different colleges...I know it sux but thats part of life.
