  1. I think that g*y guys are trying to talk like girls or somthing. maybe they thinks girls have a lisp.

  2. Over the years, I've had many good friends come out of the closet. Some of them never came close to having a lisp before they were able to accept their sexual orientation.

I have a theory that because popular media holds to tightly to one specific 'g*y' stereotype - the lisping, flaming, fashion-centric fruit - many of the teens and young adults who are grasping for any kind of identity to make sense of the turmoil in their lives, find only one possible outlet. Sometimes it seems like the thought process goes like this - "I only see g*y men who are effeminate, so if I'm g*y, I must behave in an effeminate manner."

Those friends of mine who accepted their orientation early, and therefore developed their personalities along with that acceptance, never developed a 'g*y' personality. They are who they are and who they sleep with is only a small part of the person.

  3. i was wondering that also

  4. You should've posted this question in the GLBT section.  I am sure you would recieve a charming array of answers from them there :)

  5. A lisp is a specific speech impediment that empasizes or distorts the "S" sound. It is often  associated mith a missing tooth at a young age but if the child was taught to  speak properly from  the beginning then that should correct itself once the missing tooth is  replaced.

It has nothing to  do with being g*y whatsoever. That is just a stupid stereotypical association from from the kind of dumb jock who labels  every sign of weakness he sees as being "g*y".

Because most lisps go  away on there own when adult teeth  grow in to  replace lost baby  teeth, most of it is forgotten  well before that critical age of puberty.

As for some of the more permanent ones, It is a matter of lazy parents, not  teaching  a child how to  form letters and phonetic sounds properly at a young age.

That same level of ignorance toward child rearing responsibilities is probably  also  responsible for a poor sense of self esteem in that child.

Most people think its somehow cute when a five year old has a lisp but nothing can prepare that child for the rude awakening they  will receive if they don't lose the lisp before its no longer cute. It is nothing short of traumatic.

They dont teach you how to  position your tongue for every single  sound in  school because kids  are expected to  know how to  speak by the time they  get to  school.

If that kid happens to  actually be g*y then he will be lucky  because he will be more likely to  be accepted by his peers in spite of it.

If he isn't then thats unfortunate because he will get all teasing that goes with  being g*y  without any of the benefits.

Although the teasing might encourage him to  address the issue in  adulthood.

I am using the male pronoun "him" because females dont generally get  their lisp tied to  their gender preference in  my  experience. If I'm wrong please excuse me.
