Why do gerafees have long necks?

  1. Their food source is mainly the acacia tree, which is very tall.  They need to be able to reach the food.  Their height also helps them to see predators from a good distance away, and to be able to escape more quickly.

    They say it's to reach food high up.  But boy, what a job for a vet to be called for a scratchy throat.
