Why do girls like 'bodice ripper' literature?

  1. The real reason for this is three reasons:

    1) Most women have fantasies about being seduced, and yet being the one who saves the day.

    2) Bodices, while uncomfortable, make women look s**y, and so ripping one off (where the term originated) means a woman is both s**y and no longer uncomfortable... relief like that has GOT to be close to sexual.

    3) Women who read bodice rippers are bound to have strong imaginations, and thus it seems reasonable to assume that their imaginations transport them into a life that seems so much more than they have at the moment, even if only for a moment.

    The cure for this: guys need to learn to be more romantic.

    And yes, I'm a guy. And no, I'm not very romantic. Far too geeky for that.
