  1. There is belief that the magnetic "therapy" relaxes the muscle and helps with carpal tunnel (sp?) syndrome, arthiritis, and assits in alleviating pain. However, these facts have been disputed and has not been proven scientifically.

  2. Some do it as fashion. Other use them because they are suppose to relax your muscles.

  3. Perhaps the copper bracelets create a magnetic field which helps alleviate whatever condition one may have. A couple of members at our club swear by them and say that wearing them takes away the pain.. Others have stated the bracelet did them no good but since they bought it they will wear it.

  4. The magnets change your body's ionic polarity. The people who wear them believe the benefit is derived from changing bad positively charged ions into good negatively charged ions. The result of this change is less pain in the region connected to the nerves and blood surrounding these magnets and less stress as stress produces and uses positively charged ions. Some jerk made a lot of money off of this idea so it has to do something. I'm a little suspect to be honest but then i never tried it.

  5. they relieve stress

  6. I was diagnosed with carpel tunnel three weeks ago, after weakness in my grip and numbness in my right hand.  I have played twice this year.  The first time I didn't have the bracelet, and i couldn't finish the round.  Yesterday I bought one and played in an outing.  It made all the difference in the world.
