Why do good looking women get or marry a plain-looking and sometimes unattractive male?

You know I see this so much. Ladies, don't you marry a Plain James guy for 3 reasons

1) You never have to worry about another competitive female trying to steal him from you ?

2) And especially after you have kids you don't want- him -straying off to other women, because if he was attractive he could get one.

3) You being an attractive female can still get looks from guys and your plain guy will not complain about it?

Is this accurate?

because to the women choosing the "plain" guy, he's not so plain...she sees what's on the inside.  He's respectful, responsible, interesting to talk to and be with and shares similar values with her.  If we could strip our exteriors and rely just on just what's left showing on the inside, I believe many people would make much better choices than they do currently, without the distraction of a "pretty" face as the do or die tie breaker.

Your question is remarkably shallow. People marry because they love each other, it's generally pretty irrelevant if one is better looking.

How about him being intelligent, funny, caring, devoted and great in bed? Money doesn't hurt either. We women look for the whole package and are willing to overlook some things.

Im a guy mate, but from what i learned from chicks they dont choose from looks most of the time, but from your behaviour and the inside so yeah..

uhh...maybe those women you see with "Plain" men are in love with their minds and hearts and not their bodies? Don't fault a woman for not being shallow....we can't win for losing can we?

No way, its all about the personality ;) maybe the good looking woman thinks the average guy is really kind or something.

I feel women aren't as visually-orientated as men. And in a world where it's hard to find a decent guy, a man who has a good heart is a rare find. Even then, women are attracted to humour, charm and confidence rather than the aesthetic features of a guy. Without fuelling stereotypes, the usually good looking guys sometimes like to play around too...

Just because you're hot, doesn't mean you should expect an easy marriage with no complications. Got to work to keep any guy, I believe. I don't like taking liberties from people, just because I'm allegedly 'good-looking', I work at it like everyone else.

It irritates me when people make generalisations like this. Looks fade. Everyone knows that; always has to be something beyond it.
