Why do good men's teams not use slides very much?

It seems like women's teams use slides more than the men. Is it because the guy's middle has to get back faster to block?

Why do women's teams use slides more?

I do not know.  My high school team used a lot of slides as a way to move the middle blocker to the middle.  It was very effective because not a lot of the other teams knew how to block it.

Men's teams focus more on *power* while women's teams focus more on varieties.

Men's setters prefer to stay in the corner and watch his troop jumping up and down, while women's setters stay inside (and waste less energy setting the ball).

Men's blockers move more quickly than women's, and they can do one-on-one block or double on slides.

Again, men's teams feel they could handle their opponents simply by throwing 5000lb bombs from their outside hitters.
